'Thank You!'
Hello Swimmers! We would like to start this update by saying a huge 'thank you' to all of our parents/carers, swimmers and staff who made it all possible for us to return to our swimming lessons this September. It means so much to the Let’s Swim Team that you have full confidence in our ability to implement a safe return. We hope that your first lessons back since the closure in March was a happy and positive experience.
We need your feedback:
We would really appreciate it if you could take a few moments to provide a response to our quick feedback survey and tell us how we did so that we can identify where there might be room for improvement and share first hand feedback with others.
Can Lessons Continue With the New Group of Six Rule?
Yes! Following recent Government announcement we can confirm that our swimming sessions will be continuing as planned as a sporting activity within a ‘covid secure environment'. This too has been approved by the UK Governing Body of aquatics 'Swim England'.
Please Remember:
Everyone has a key part to play in ensuring that our environment remains 'covid secure'. This week everyone involved did an excellent job in helping us to achieve this, what a great team we all make! Here are a few reminders to ensure that we all do our bit each week:
One spectator per child.
Enter poolside as close to your lesson time as possible. It is ok to wait at your changing station until your start time.
Wear your face covering at all times. (we have some available to purchase in case you forget)
Shoe covers MUST be worn. Please dispose of these on your way out.
Keep your belongings with you. DO NOT leave any items in the changing rooms.
Following the 1m+ rule and keep socially distanced.
Seating is available around the poolside. On blue benches and end steps.
Parking is available on roads surrounding the venue. We do not have permission to park on the premises.
Where is Chelsea?
Many of you asked after Chelsea who as you know has been a huge part of Let’s Swim for 7 years. Now is the time to share with you that Chelsea has moved to pastures new. Her new role as a Primary School Class Teacher began this term and she is absolutely loving it. Her intention was to say goodbye at the end of the Summer Term but unfortunately the recent circumstances have prevented her from doing this. So here is a little note from Chelsea to everyone:
’As everyone prepares to return to the pool, it is with a heavy heart that I hang up my swimming cap and goggles. Hayley and I have grown Let’s Swim together over the past 7 years into what I know is a truly amazing swim school, I hope you will all agree. From competing in our teens in opposing local swimming clubs, to representing our local region in the same relay teams. Our strong passion for the water has achieved so much, not just in Let’s Swim but also in true lasting friendships. I would like to thank all of my swimmers, their parents/carers and the staff. Together we are the Let’s Swim Team which truly is a special team to be a part of. I hope to see you all again soon and wish you all the best on your swimming journeys. Chelsea.’
We know you will welcome warmly our new permanent swimming teacher Victoria who you mostly will have met when she has covered classes in the past. We wish Chelsea the best of luck in her new career. For obvious reasons we are unable to pass around a farewell card so we are asking that if you have any messages for Chelsea no matter how big or small please send them over in a text/email and we will collect them together to share with her on your behalf.
Thankyou for taking the time to read our latest update and we will see you all next week. If you haven't already please do take a moment to complete our feedback survey.
